Ok, this will be my last post for a while. I am an old CPM->DOS->Windows guy, my Unix experience is only about four years and my time as an administrator (running Linux on my own machine) very short <1 year. Thus, I really don't know what I am doing. My current status for Xfree is that it starts but it is not quite right. Menus cut off, windows get split across a sort of black hole. Anyway, probably just my stupidity. Downloaded the entire "required" package for Xfree, not just the server, and will see if this helps. If it fixes it I will let you all know. After that I will be tweaking the X config. If I get a working fix I will let you know. If someone else gets it working sooner please let me know (would suspect this will be the case).
