I've solved this problem in this fashion:

a) Boot from FC9 and toggle the BOOT flag from /sda3 to /sda1
b) Reboot
c) Now boot with the OpenSolaris 2008.11 text option (GRUB)
d) Strangely, system maintenance got invoked due to Console login issue.
e) Logged in with the user to get the root access
f) Then just typed this command:

svcadm enable -r svc:/system/console-login:default

Then, ZFS got mounted, X login manager appeared; voila OpenSolaris 2008.11 is
back after all those problems and (mis)understands from my side. Huh!

Only strange thing I've noticed is none bothered to respond on this forum
unlike many Linux forums which I regularly visit.

BTW, are opensolaris.org and opensolaris.com different forums? I've tried to
login there with the uname/passwd of this forum but didn't work. Just wondering
which is more popular/useful in terms of quick tech. support. Anyway, no issues.
