A bit afraid to upgrade my "base system" altogether, since when I tried 2008.11 on the same hardware, I couldn't even get it to boot. I may consider trying it on our backup box first, but I'm a bit leery.
Since I was able to install 5.1 using the .pkg from mysql.com, perhaps that's the route to go. However, it doesn't seem to create any startup scripts or anything. Do I have to do that manually? Thanks! -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
