Depends what outcome you are looking for. If you want to replace XP, then just download the image, burn to DVD, boot off it, and just install. If you want to just try out OpenSolaris - download VirtualBox, install it, download the OpenSolaris image, within VirtualBox, mount the image as the CDROM drive, create an OpenSolaris machine, boot, and away. If you want to dual boot, shrink your XP partition (use parted) and install OpenSolaris in free space. Whatever you want to do, google is your friend. -- Tony Reeves Christchurch New Zealand
