Hi,

I have played around with the OpenSolaris live CD and would like to install the
operating system on my laptop with a dual boot set-up (my other OS being
Windows XP).

The last time I installed a Unix-Like system (Fedora) was about 3 years ago.
From memory, one could re-partition the hard drive in the installation of
Fedora -- i.e. it was really easy. When I have tried to install OpenSolaris
(from the live CD), this feature is not included. Am I missing something, or
has the linux community moved away from including hard disk partitioning in the
installation procedure in favour of using GParted or fdisk before installing
the operating system.

Kind regards,

Sam
