I don't know what "a DNS error" means or what sorts of drivers you might be using. Besides visiting the nwam-discuss at opensolaris.org list, you may want to check out the current troubleshooting information: http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/nwam/picea/troubleshooting/ There are several basic steps here that can help you identify problems on your own. In particular, step 7 ("none of the above") includes instructions on obtaining debug information. > If I attempt to reboot with the external card inserted, the > system hangs, and there's no activity showing on the card. That sounds like a bad driver ... I suggest describing the issue in detail on driver-discuss at opensolaris.org. The likely next step there would be to boot the system using kmdb, and find out why the system is hanging. > When I rebooted w/o the card, it took a few tries to get NWAM enabled, > but it appears to be working now. I can say that I've used Orinoco (pcwl) cards with OpenSolaris (and NWAM) without trouble. But whether that is comparable to your situation or not, I cannot tell. -- James Carlson, Solaris Networking <james.d.carlson at sun.com> Sun Microsystems / 35 Network Drive 71.232W Vox +1 781 442 2084 MS UBUR02-212 / Burlington MA 01803-2757 42.496N Fax +1 781 442 1677
