I have a s10u3 machine running three zones (website/cyrus mailer/userzone). I moved the zones into the root under /zones. I did a "normal" lucreate -> root was created/zones duplicated I *merged* the /zones into one root (one slice) I gave root and /zones their own slice. I just ran the -m /:/dev... -m /zones:merged:ufs -n .. The zone directory was merged alright in the root. But again, the same error about not being able to make the new ABE bootable. Here we go for the seperate slices run.. Be back in some time from now ;-) ============= Newsgroups: comp.unix.solaris From: Dick Hoogendijk <[email protected]> Subject: Re: lucreate errors..getting desperate quoting Dick Hoogendijk (Thu, 08 May 2008 17:23:44 +0200): > I had changed it in an acceptable form ;-) But meanwhile, giving (/) > root and /zones their own slice did not help. All files seem to have been copied OK. The /etc/lu directory is OK and the /etc/vfstab too. If ONLY this ABE would be made bootable. Why is this not happening? ============= NOTHING has helped as you can see. Everything is fine, no matter how I do it, except for making the ABE bootable. I really hope to get some answers on this. -- Dick Hoogendijk -- PGP/GnuPG key: 01D2433D ++ http://nagual.nl/ + SunOS sxde 01/08 ++
