Hello, I'm trying to jumpstart a box with 10u5, and running into problems. There are three machines involved with this, on two subnets: * The machine itself, on subnet 1 with netmask 255.255.255.192 * The DHCP/TFTP server, on the same subnet * The NFS server, on a second subnet with netmask . The machine I'm installing does actually mount /jumpstart/sysidcfg/newbox properly (as far as I can tell) when it boots, and also /export/solaris/10-x86/dvd. Both of these are the proper paths for our setup. It zips through the initial part of the install pretty well. However, after "System identification complete", it hangs waiting for the NFS server to respond. Watching snoop on the NFS server, it gets the traffic from the first sessions as expected, but nothing further.
In a 2005 thread [1], I see someone who had a similar problem and resolved it, but I would hope that problem has been resolved, and I'm not sure how I would go about applying that to a modern jumpstart system. Is this relevant? In any case, if anyone has suggestions on what's going wrong, how to fix it, or more debugging information that might give you a hint what's wrong, please let me know. Please CC me on all mail, as I'm not subscribed to this list. Thanks, Will [1] http://www.sunmanagers.org/pipermail/summaries/2005-January/006088.html
