I have read the documentation and several blogs on how to do Live Upgrade. Can you please help me understand these issues? I am trying to upgrade from NV78 to NV108.
1) All the documentation says that I need to patch my system prior to running the live upgrade. Does this apply to SNV as well? I started by trying to patch the patch packages, but it complained that the packages on my system were not compatible with the ones in the patch. I downloaded the patches from sunsolve, but I don't know if they are applicable to SNV. 2) I tried running Update Center. It prompted me for registration. Do I need a Service Plan Number in order to run Update Center? Anyway, it failed with a message about "Error in SCN/Cacao Update License". What does this mean? 3) I guess I can try running the Live Upgrade commands without patching the system, but is this the recommended approach? I don't want to hose this server.
