This is bug 6785. No one on the team has been able to reproduce this, and the stack trace basically looks impossible to hit from code inspection, so we're baffled. Comments 6 and 7 in the bug ask for more information; if you can provide that, I'd be grateful. (You may need to implement the change described in comment 1 to help with that.)
