Installing from USB media image Each build of OpenSolaris also includes a .usb image as well as the usual ISO. The USB images can be copied to a USB device using the "usbcopy" program that is part of the SUNWdistro-const package or by downloading the script. The usbcopy script is located here; (http://src.opensolaris.org/source/raw/caiman/slim_source/usr/src/cmd/install-tools/usbcopy) The script needs to be run as root in a Solaris shell window. It will let you select the image file, and the USB device to copy the image file to. MS Windows Users: You can apparently create your OpenSolaris USB stick on a windows laptop using this tool; Windows USB Creator for OpenSolaris Windows USB Creator Download http://devzone.sites.pid0.org/OpenSolaris/opensolaris-liveusb-creator I've also attached a copy of "usbcopy" to this email.
