I think that the problem is that you didn't updated/instaled grub from new boot environment. This can be done with those steps
#pkg image-update ... ... mount your new be to some mounpoint e.g. mount -Fzfs rpool/ROOT/opensolaris-1 /mnt ... # /mnt/boot/solaris/bin/update_grub -R /mnt Hope that this help -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
