First experiences with Solaris Live Upgrade:

1) Downloaded, burned to DVD and installed b67 from scratch. set up two extra
partitions(3,4) the same size as the root partition 0.

2) Downloaded, assembled and mounted the iso for b70 from opensolaris.org.

3) did lucreate and luupgrade, pointing to the mounted iso.

So far, the initial installation of b67 took around 20-30 minutes. However the
luupgrade command, after 24 hours, is only 66% done. Is this normal? Why
would a full install take 30mins but a BE upgrade take 36 hours? Is it
rebuilding the entire thing?

Is there a way to get at more recent builds? b72, 73 etc.? or does that entail
dl individual pataches and building from scratch?

For the average, Joe User, unaffliated with Sun, is it normal to upgrade from
the biweekly iso's? Is there some other way to get the latest betas, ala
checkout from version control or some kind of package management?

Thanks,
