If you want to actually get diagnostic information, you can edit the 
GRUB entry to add "-k", which will cause it to boot under kmdb.  ::stack 
  once it drops into the debugger will tell you where the panic is 
occurring.  I'd expect it's one of those drivers you added.  Once you 
know that, you can boot into the failsafe selection from GRUB, have the 
installed image mounted, and use "pkgrm -R /a" to remove the offending 
driver.
