Coming from the Ubuntu Linux world to Oppensolaris, I do not see IPS being better than Ubuntu's apt packaging system. When I am trying to install Netbeans using IPS, I do not know which to netbeans package to pick which will install all the sub packages. Is there any way IPS can be improved to include detailed description field, viewable from the package manager?
