Dominque: Can you use a digital camera and take snapshots of what the error message is when you reboot the computer ? driver selec failed is not too useful and we had no idea what is displayed on the screen.
If you can still boot the sxce b124 media, can you get the output of /usr/X11/bin/scanpci and prtconf -v so that we can tell what is in your HP laptop.
