I checked and I am not sure whether this is the same bug as 6643143.
Can you try this workaround and see whether this will allow the system
to boot with kmdb:
On x86, in the GRUB item, type "e" (for edit) and
then another "e" and then add "-k -d " to the end of the kernel line
Finally, press return to boot this entry.
This will cause the kernel debugger to load

At the prompt, enter "moddebug/W 0x80000000", <return> and then ":c",

If the machine still hangs, send us another snapshot and we will see
whether this is a new issue or not.
One more question, it looks like this works with sxce 99 but fails in
