Hi everyone, I installed OpenSolaris to use it as a NAS. First every thing went well. But now I have the problem that writing to Disk is pulsing.
So I get transfer rates swinging between 50mb/s and 0mb/s resulting in very poor overall transfer rates. Reading is still okay (between 50 and 60 mb/s). Any glue where this pulsing transfer is coming from? If I remember it correctly at the beginning every thing was fine. Could it be a change in the bios settings? A second question: I installed OS in SATA-IDE mode. Any possibility to change it to AHCI mode without new installation? Thanks Jonathan
