I have downloaded the new Opensolaris 2009.06 Sparc auto install iso to give it a try. Little do I know that it is so difficult to get it install on Sparc? The CD is not even bootable. And it seems like that I need to install another Opensolaris Automated Installer Server to install my first client. Talking about chicken and egg problem. Plus the documentation is not at all helpful.
Seems Sun like have forgotten about the Sparc user based, and evaluating Opensolaris has to wait. BTW, we are mainly a Sun Sparc shop and we are looking for a future those systems. Yours, -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
