Hi everyone, We
think of using Jahia in our organization (Jahia Professional Edition). In
reference to the following text in the documentation (http://www.jahia.org/download/documentation/Jahia_40_AdministrationGuide.pdf): In order to run
Jahia, you first need to install a Java 2 Software Development Kit (JDK or Java2SE SDK) 1.4 or
better on your system. As Jahia needs to compile some jsp files, the Java Runtime
Environment (or JRE) will not work, you will need to install the complete JDK (or Java2SE SDK). You can find both
versions for Linux and Windows on the SUN web site: http://java.sun.com/j2se/ Other JDK are
available from other providers but have not been extensively Tested Operating Systems • Microsoft
Windows NT/2000/XP • Linux
(successfully tested with Redhat 7.2/8.0/9.0 and Mandrake 9.0) • Solaris 9.x • MacOSX Other operating
systems supporting a JDK may also work but have not been tested. Is
Jahia supported and compatible with the last version of Java 2 Software Development Kit (JDK) 5.0
Update 1 ? Is
Jahia supported and compatible with Windows NT 2003 Server ? Moreover,
we currently hesitate between Windows 2003 or Redhat Linux AS 3.0 for the OS of
Jahia Professional Edition. Is there limits, constraints or important things to
know to make our choice in relation with the use of Jahia Professional Edition
or the other software describe in the system requirements of the PDF file ? Thanks. |
