It is a document of the Internet Architecture Board, and not obsoleted or
deprecated by any other works I am aware of. It says:

   "A multi-link subnet model should be avoided.  IETF working groups
   using, or considering using, multi-link subnets today should
   investigate moving to one of the other models."
