Hi Stewart, IIRC (and it *was* a long time ago), ADSL is BT Wholesale rather than OpenReach.
But at any rate yes, L2TP (v2 rather than v3) does tend to get used for wholesale ADSL provision (where that still exists). There has been some move generally to PTA (PPP Termination and Aggregation) into VRFs but that depends on the wholesale provider’s offering. Re BT specifically (and again my info is outdated and may be mis-remembered) the 20C network used L2TP, and I think it’s an option on 21C for handoff to smaller ISPs. Should all be in the SINs somewhere?
