In the 'addressing' part there is also the Dirk's invitation to side
meeting "Problems and Gap Analysis for Internet Addressing" sent a few
days ago.
While Dirk's meeting might talk 'ICN' addressing, this meeting might
talk 'CDN' addressing. Information-Centric Networking and Content
Distribution Networks might be related.

Dear all,
You may have seen the update to our drafts on problem statement and gap
analysis for Internet addressing, to be found at
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-jia-intarea-scenarios-problems-addressing/
and
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-jia-intarea-internet-addressing-gap-analysis/,
respectively, as announced in the email below.
In order to further the engagement and feedback on this work, we are organizing
a side meeting on Monday, the 8th of November, 2021 at 18.00 UTC (after the end
of the regular sessions that day) that is focused on those drafts. After a
brief introduction to set the stage, we will engage with a panel of experts on
questions relating to the aspects raised in our drafts, those questions
stemming from the viewpoints and work those experts have been doing in the past.
We expect to bring the ensuing discussions around those questions into the
wider discussion on the INT area mailing list, helping us gauge the interest
and support for the work we have been doing with those two drafts and
understand possible ways forward for this work. To start this process, we will
provide a summary of the side meeting in our presentation to the INT area WG on
Tuesday, the 9th of November.
Further information on the detailed agenda, the list of experts confirmed, and
any meeting material will be posted soon on the IETF side meeting wiki
(https://trac.ietf.org/trac/ietf/meeting/wiki/112sidemeetings).
Please do consider participating in this event to contribute to this important
discussion on how to advance Internet addressing.
Best,
Dirk (on behalf of the drafts co-authors)

Subject: [Int-area] I-D. Updates on Internet Addressing: Problem statement and
Gap analysis
Dear all,
2 drafts around "internet addressing" have been updated recently, namely:
- Internet Addressing: Problem statements
(https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-jia-intarea-scenarios-problems-addressing/)
- Internet Addressing: Gap analysis
(https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-jia-intarea-internet-addressing-gap-analysis/)
The first draft (Problem statements) provides various issues regarding
addressing in a number of scenarios, while the second draft (Gap Analysis)
provides an analysis of extensions to identified key properties of Internet
addressing.
We are soliciting feedback from IETF community on the problems, issues, and
gaps identified in those drafts, e.g., in terms of issues missed, extensions
(to Internet addressing) to be added but also towards the aim of these drafts
to stimulate discussion on how we can progress Internet addressing for future
uses.
Any comments on this topic are, definitely, always appreciated.
Thanks,
Yihao Jia (on behalf of all authors)
