Hi Kevin, No DHCP changes are required. Any existing DHCPv4 server can hand out 192.0.0.11 as the Router Option value today, unchanged. The change is solely in the host networking stack: when it receives 192.0.0.11 as its gateway, it resolves the next-hop link-layer address from the IPv6 neighbor cache instead of via ARP. DHCP has already done its job at that point.
One of the main features of this approach is that you can do an incremental deployment without breaking current host stacks in any way, and without having to update the DHCPv4 protocol.
