Some more useful info here. I've tried this card in the very latest pre-release of Ubuntu 11.04, and the problem is solved. 2 questions: 1) How can I figure out what caused it, and what was fixed? 2) How can I get the goodness from 11.04 into my current installation of 10.04? Upgrading isn't really an option for me at this stage.
Can anyone help out? Much appreciated! - Bryan On Thu, Jan 27, 2011 at 21:42, Bryan Hoyt | Brush Technology < [email protected]> wrote: > Also, here's my dmesg from booting the 2.6.38 kernel, in case it's useful > to help someone find out more about the issue: > http://pastebin.com/qgqd6iT4 > > <http://pastebin.com/qgqd6iT4> - Bryan > > > On Thu, Jan 27, 2011 at 21:34, Bryan Hoyt | Brush Technology < > [email protected]> wrote: > >> Hello, >> >> I have an all-in-one tablet-like PC with a builtin monitor (LVDS1) and 2nd >> hotpluggable monitor (VGA1), using the intel graphics driver. >> >> My problem in a few words: if I don't have a 2nd screen plugged in at >> boot, I can't see a thing once X loads.
