I don't really mind the small resolution/low settings (takes me back
to struggling top play DN3D on a pre-PowerPC Mac) as I'm more into the
story/narative aspect of games. However, I got the game to perform
with a nice framerate in DX7 mode in XP at a resolution of 800x600,
the only problem being the overexposed texture problem as mentioned in
my first post. Looks like a dual-boot is the only thing I can
realistically do to get it going. I applied the 1.3 patch on CoD2, but
it didn't seem to address the texture issue, nor did I notice any real
difference in performance; I played through the first couple missions
but it was mostly unplayable during firefights. You mentioned XP -
have you managed to get the game to run with a playable rate and
resolved the texture issue on WindowsXP?
