Good day Intel 9XX group, It's been a while since my last post, but I have my reasons. Work, CS, and driver/GPU research took up a lot of my time.
However, I think I've come up with some positive and negative results: For one, I took the liberty of creating an auto installer for the drivers. Coded in basic java (or available in C++ for you who don't have an SDK or any Java related software). I thought the installer was a little messy, and decided to give its own touch of personality. It's not completely functional yet as I have some bugs and glitches to smoothen out with textures and what not. Release date: No idea, probably after or before I start the project below. I decided to see what else could be done besides modifying driver IDs. An integrated card to my colleagues is known as: "an incomplete graphic card". With this in mind, I had a lot of free time today at work and decided to clock the card to an insane rate and see what would happen. The results? Mixed. While I got BSOD quite a few times and even a black screen, I finally came to a break through. By directing surplus electric flow into the 950 (and do not try this on any other cards as I have no experimented yet), it can be clocked to a maximum rate of 988mhz. There are heating issues at that high of a rate, but can be sucessfully clocked to 630mhz without any heat increase. I'm working on creating a software alternative to this (most mobo's should be able to handle this with little problem, expect maybe some of you guys who leave your screens on full brightness), expect a beta release in a few weeks. Negatives: OpenGL support is lack luster on my side. Don't know why, I can't run CS 1.6 at even 10 frames. I'm hoping that this is just a general issue with the driver. I think these 1-2 weeks (I've lost track) have been rather eventful. When I get home tonight, I'll begin working on that software alternative. As you have noticed in the subject, I'm hoping to continue these little logs. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "INTEL 9XX Gaming" group.
