Overclocking is actually a very simple thing to do. As long as you can force a greater than average amount of electric flow into a device, it counts as Overclocked.
Also, I'd like to clarify. When I say heat increase, I mean DRAMATIC heat increase. The experiment was done when the core temperature of the subject laptop was kept at a stead 0 Celcius in a controlled enviroment.. At 988 it raised to almost 7.3 Celcius. Potentially, this is very dangerous for a low-emission laptop. As for a beta, I have no idea as of now.
