About the RAM thing. IMHO it's definietely just a driver setting. Take
Win XP and Vista and MacOS which report deifferent sizes of VRAM.
MacOS uses only 64 but install Windows on the same machine and you get
256 - how come?

I don't know if you are familiar with gma 950 on OSX but - those apple
guys get a lot more out of it then we do (like more GL extensions).
Intel cripples its GMAs - look at the latest news about GN40 lacking
features under XP
