Hello. Inside the directory I found config.cfg, not autocnfig.cfg. But
that's not a problem, since the game doesn't auto-configurate itself
at each instance. I've set everything to low. The default dxlevel is
9.0, and the default setting for portal render depth is 1 (I tried
with 0 too). I added -dxlevel 80 to the shortcut target area (as well
as -dxlevel 90), and, unfortunately, the game still crashes.

As far as I understood, you were with the same problem (The game
crashed after the first portal, and startup parameters were not
solving the issue), but you managed to run the game by setting
everything to low? Wow, is it possible that everysingle possible
solution doesn't work with me? :(

In any case, I really appreciate your help. There must be something to
do, it's just a matter of time. :)))
