seems like my bro MAD_BEAST are in a bad mood ^^
ok,let me explain, as u all know. XP manage it's driver different than
vista/win7..it's a totally diferent structure. have u compare xp infs
with vista/win7 ones??
if u could do it, (i doubt it) it doesnt give the extra boost, as u
all know that XP driver doesnt support TnL addgame.reg tweaks.....does
u know this? then by using xp driver on win7,u'll have to rely on
3da..and can give an impact on performance as 3da us cpu and ram
resource.

ok2,i understand that u assumed XP give much more performance on games
than Vista/win7 system, but that was not cause by the driver.
XP consume a LOT LESS resource than Vista/win7. some games required
only 512 ram to run on XP, but requires 1gb with Vista/win7 (i'll
refer this phrase as vista based system) to run. the performance boost
is not CAUSE by the DRIVER.

ok,a simpler answer, OS manage hardware not only with driver, drivers
are use for communication purpose between HARDWARE and SOFTWARE. the
rest is up to the OS to manage the resources for the hardware (RAM,CPU
resource for GMA) i have to admit that XP will manage hardware better
than Vista but win7 manage them at best. in my opinion , win7 unlocks
the utmost potential of GMA.

ok2,u'll ask me "then why modded drivers give more performance than
stock ones?"
simply because modded driver unlocks
-DX10 rendering
-emulated OpenGL support
-TnL support with PipeOptimization
-better configuration of Driver setting and how the driver should work
Driver does not change the way OS manage the hardware, in this case,XP
driver will only degrade performance on GMA...

hope this can help explain ur question ^^
cheers^^
