for mostly, jeremy have a point...but every installations of M$ windows has a downside that need to be tweaked...
for XP, the broadband and memory setting needs to be tweaked for newer system ans connection speed nowadays.. vista for example, needs to be tweak heavily for it's unnecessary memory consumptions and unused service, a waste of CPU time and resources.. and in win7, by far still no noticable flaw seen as it is not a final product, up to date build 7600 are not official released... also, windows needs maintainance which includes, reg clean, defrag, clean up and other basic/advance maintainance...
