Oh yeah FOG... i find it quite impressive, cause its a program that increase the performance while the temp decreases under the normal temp or raises but a little.
My experience was a long time when i used this machine for gaming, i remember playing OPERATION 7 and Sins of a solar empire, with rightmark utiliy what i found amazing was that it not only dramatically increased the performance it also decreased the avarage temp. Normally my system was around ~60cº, while gaming reaised to ~70+ Cº When i started using rightmark, normal temp went from ~60+ Cº to 40-55 Cºand gaming was around 60 Cº and with higher FPS... i just couldnt understand how is that i was getting higher FPS and lower temp... But to be able to use i had to mess with it for about 3 - 2 hours to fid out how it works... when i found a config i though was good i tested. These days when im a couple of years older and dont even know what a game is... im still using Rightmark with WIN7, no to increase the perfromance of the games i dont even play, i use t to decrease the usage of the CPU and the heat... you all know that Laptops become older and hotter, so i did setup righ mark to use my lap way under low resources, and its all time from 40 to 60 Cº, running eveything i want with no problems. SO what i do is depending on the use: Normal use SET LOWEST volt in all stages 0,9500 V Select lower multipliers 6.0X. 7.0X (1st, 2nd,) to keep it running in those stages Select Higher throttles 100, 87.5 Target CPU usage level lowest 15% High Performance SET LOWEST volt in all stages 0,9500 V Select multipliers all of them. Select Higher throttles 100 Target CPU usage level lowest 85% check the TWICPIC account of 9xxSsf there ull find a SS of what i did with rightmark. there are some more options which i didnt touch cause dont know what they are. -- INTEL 9xx SOLDIERS SANS FRONTIERS
