Ain't it up to the developers which renderer they wish to use, i can't see
what microsoft have to do with anything. Correct me if im wrong but won't
have to code a game differently between D3D and OpenGL, what i have
understood is that a game can't simply be forced into using one mode, you
need to code a game to use it.
