It cracks me up when they claim x game (in crysis league) will run
with the same graphics as the pc, only with a more aggresive lod. PC
is the ultimate dominating cracking ruling over all master of graphics
of all time and age :) Yeah, maybe when ps5 and xbox 1440 support
dx10.1 and the multiplatform bs virus is well spread throughout
computers then all our dx15 and opengl 9.0 will have to use only a
fraction of the hardware potential because of console users.
Hum, this might sound like I'm against consoles... I'm more against
multiplatform, if it began earlier we might never have had a gran
turismo, a forza, god of war, and other great games that are exclusive
to systems, not to mention diablo, starcraft, warcraft, etc etc etc.
In essence each system has their strong genres, though some are cross
platform, others are just wrong, like rts and fps on a gamepad
(grrr...killzone...) or a beat em up on a keyboard.

My point is that even though it is good that new games run acceptably
on still recent hardware, it is great that we have software pushing
the hardware envelope, specially when there is tweaking potential for
those without the raw power of new medium to high end hardware.
