First of all you shouldn't be using xp, but if you really have to there are several ways to use ahci, both turning it on when installing xp, and activating it after xp is installed without making it bsod. You can either slipstream the required sata drivers or copy a sys file to system32 and add it through reg. If anyone wants I can post how to do the latter.
