Since P8xx is more powerful than P7xx, and I did see the T7700 beat
P8600 in almost every thing (except a few games since it had a nvidia
9600gt), I continue to believe in the raw power of a higher cache.
Penryn does have a smaller die and a higher fsb, but if there isn't
ram to back that up then you end up with less performance than the
hardware can output. Even a single MB of cache can make a huge
difference. Outside desktop versions and extreme versions, T series
are the best core 2 duo mobile cpus. And I seriously doubt the
difference between the T9300 and P7550. I used a T9500 for a while and
it was incredibly faster than both T7700 and P8600, no comparison
there.

@Espio: There's the simple fact of maximum theoretical throughput of
ide which is 133mb/s while the lower end of sata is 150mb/s, so why
limit the performance when you can reach its default full potential
for free?
