Why overclock it if you don't know what it can do in your hands first? For regular users, overclocking should be done once all components were pushed to the edge, and you require more than they can handle by default. I'm sorry about your gpu, and do yourself a favor and spend 50$ on a dedicated soundcard. In case you don't know, a dedicated soundcard increases fps since the cpu doesn't have to process it. Get a x-fi go, a x-fi xtremeaudio pcie bulk, or a xonar dx (this one is not so good for games). Those 3 soundcards are very cheap and miles ahead of onboard chipsets, quality-wise. If you always have listened the sound of crappy onboard chipsets, you will feel a world of difference :)
