Despite 10.10e and 10.12 being recommended for HD5xxx and HD6xxx
series, previous gens are supposed to have a nice gain in performance.

About the hdd, I'd try doing a system file checker first, before
trying anything else.

And regarding sacrifices, when a patient is suffering from AA desires,
I'd recommend a healthy dose of high resolution, 3 times a day. You'll
be up and running in no time ;)
