Im planning to partially upgrade my PC
MY sys specs:
CPU Type Intel Pentium 4 640,
3200 MHz (12 x 267)
Motherboard Name Intel Coryville D945GCL (2
PCI, 1 PCI-E x1, 1 PCI-Ex16, 2
DDR2 DIMM, Audio,
Video, LAN)
Ram: 1GB ddr2 (Dram frequency 333 mhz).
PSU:350W
OS: WIN7
Monitor:CRT Samsung syncmaster 550v (1024x768,60Hz)
Im planning to upgrade my RAM and get a graphics card ,i know p4 is
getting obsolete but right now a new processor and mobo are out of my
budget.
so just something to keep the system good enough for playing some
games.(cod4 unreal,gears of war, etc)
.since my monitor is crt i will be playing them at 800x600 or
1024x768 ,just playable at low or med setting would do (nothing
fancy)!
regarding ram should i buy another 1gb and add it or a 2gb stick whats
the the max amt of ram supported by 945.
also for graphics card suggest me some low-mid range graphics card
that can be handled by my psu, also one that runs pretty cool without
heating up easily ,as my cabinet is already cramped up with 3 HDD.
My shop dealer suggested me HD5450,GT220,4650,3650,8400gs
(im looking for something under 70$)
also what ram to choose for the graphics card will DDR3 and ddr5 be
supported by my board.
Pls give suggestions and advice.
Thanks in advance!
