Pentium 4 isnt getting obsolete it has been obsolete for many years :D you should go for 4 GB ram 945 supports 4GB is the OS x86 who dosent just go for x64
if you want an advice, what you are about to do is in my opinion a waste of money from the upgrade of ram you wont get much higher performance, and from that list the best you can get is a 8400 and that card is not capable of running anything well... you should go AT LEAST for a 8600 under that is not worth it but the BIG BIG PROBLEM for you isnt the 945 is you Pentium 4.... have you considre instead of spending 200USD on those upgrades knowing that at the end youll buy a new pc getting a console? im just saying i suggest a PS3 to everyone... is an excelente machine that every man must have -- 9xx SOLDIERS SANS FRONTIERS
