An idea that I had is why not modify the Control Panel so people can
choose their shader model rendering mode (Vertex/Pixel Shader 1.1 to
2.0, or activate software 3.0 pixel shader) or even find the string of
code for the Pixel Shader 3.0 Software Mode enabling and add that as
an option.

Somehow I think I may have to re-test Halo 2 with v1.3
