I dont know if your hp accept 4gb, you should check it at instructions manual. But if it is in the manual you can try using windows x64. I recently changed my ram to a dual channel 2gb + 2gb, but to work only installing windows x64.
I think that 2gb and 2gb dual channel changed my game play (using x3100) on heavy games like fallout 3, i think windows alone can use too much RAM, and extra ram is always welcome for games. *System Specs [CPU] (Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66 GHz) [GPU] (Intel GMA X3100 (965 séries) ) Jair's MODDED DRIVER W7X64 [RAM] (4GB) [OS] (Windows 7 64bit) [TYPE] (laptop) 2011/4/14 Zentradis <[email protected]> > Hi brothers, > I'm thinking about doing a memory upgrade to my lappy (hp 6720s > c2dT7250 x3100 win7 32-bit) in fact I'm on 2Gb pc-5300 sodimm @333MHz > dual channel, the problem is that even if hp says my system can go up > to 4Gb of ram, I've found out that much people around the net complain > tha it isn't true (resulting in bsod). My last chance is to eventually > go for 3 Gb (so no more dual-channel, correct me if I'm wrong). > The question is then simple: is the memory ugrade worth (gamingwise)? > do you think that the x3100 might benefit from this? or is it better > to keep my 2Gb dual channel configuration? > Thx in advance > > -- > 9xx SOLDIERS SANS FRONTIERS > -- 9xx SOLDIERS SANS FRONTIERS
