ahah... it's not weird ^_^ for simple explanation: the modded driver is borrowing some settings from 965 family, and making users of 945 family have partial (if not almost everything) capabilities of 965 family (...uh, well, the most obvious difference might be in T&L + vertex shader things, because 945 doesn't support hardware mode for those)
