So far, the only onboard audio driver mod I know of only works for Realtek chipsets :S
That Soundmax onboard chipset is from ADI, if I'm not mistaken. Exactly what's the chipset model? Because I found a page that might have something for you, but as far as I can tell, it's nothing like the X-Fi mod for Realtek chipsets.
