I don't really trust (or understand) how memory is dynamically utilized. My Radeon HD 3200 for instance, it has 256MB of VRAM, but HyperMemory gives me up to 700MB (in XP) or 1406MB (in 7 32-bit) or 1405MB (in 7 64-bit). Ubuntu puts me at 256MB exactly.
I know my hardware has HyperMemory enabled, but I don't understand how it's controlled even. I wish there was a program for any GPU that could tell how much of your GPU is in use and when though.... would be very helpful :p My main concern however is how much VRAM games detect. Some of my games detect 256MB, some detect the 1405-1406 I have. Some call it texture memory, others call it video memory. Not too sure how all that works exactly either :/ On Sat, Apr 23, 2011 at 4:11 AM, Daniel PK <[email protected]> wrote: > The system will automatically utilize the memory WHEN it's needed! there's > no manual override for this! > > On Sat, Apr 23, 2011 at 4:04 PM, SaRaVaNaN <[email protected]> wrote: > >> i do know its mobile series or not..My pc has core 2 duo processor >> with 2 gb RAM,is there any way to utilize the max.memory... >> >> On Apr 23, 6:07 am, "Jose Villegas (MADBEAST)" <[email protected]> >> wrote: >> > its an AUTO setting.... you are on mobile 4 series right? >> >> -- >> 9xx SOLDIERS SANS FRONTIERS >> > > -- > 9xx SOLDIERS SANS FRONTIERS > -- 9xx SOLDIERS SANS FRONTIERS
