16bits displays 65,536 colors, while 32bits displays 16.7 million
colors. That's quite noticeable, specially on particles like fog,
water, etc, where there are artifacts due to dithering. Honestly, even
with integrated chipsets like GMA 950, I don't think it's justifiable
going back to 16bits, that stopped when graphics adapters started
having more than 32MB of memory.
