Sorry I can't help with a translation into French. However, my husband is a
Facilities Manager so perhaps an explanation will help you arrive at the
correct terminology.

He works for a large engineering company and is responsible for: heating,
supplies of gas/electricity/water, general maintenance of the buildings,
offices etc and also repairs to and maintenance of the manufacturing plant
and machinery. In some companies (depending on what kind of company),
Facilities Management can also cover cleaning, safety, security and even
catering. This fits in with what you say above, i.e. a cleaning company
which wants to expand its range of activities. It is a general background
support system which is not directly connected to the primary activities of
the company.

Hope this helps you get the right word!

Jill
