Hi all,
just thought I'd share an experience I had with my machine running
OSX 10.2.1 & Intermapper 3.6.2. I have been running three maps, some
with strip charts for several months now. All fine and dandy. The
maps are login items so it all comes up nicely as soon as I start up
my machine. Recently I had a bad crash which caused my machine to
lose its date - thinking it was 1970. Well it came up and seems to
have opened up the maps fine - once only. After a little fiddling to
get my machine back into the right millennium, I once more opened up
the maps, only to get a constant error message when it had finished
reading the map, I logged the error as follows:
ASSERT#MACH-O#3.6.2#itsEndingTime.IsAfterOrEqual(
itsStartingTime)#source/server/CStripChartData.cp#239#10.2.1#10.2#Ex0#As1#
It keeps telling me the maps are corrupt - which they are not.
Removing the Chart Data folder from /Library/Application
Support/Intermapper and letting the Program create a new one lets me
open the maps, but of course forfeits 3 months worth of useful strip
chart into. I tried looking at the chart data to see if it was as
simple as cutting all lines containing 1970 using BBedit, alas, no
luck.
I doubt anyone has a fix for my predicament, but I thought I might
just warn you all - don't open maps if your date is way out of whack.
