Thanks for your note. The short answer is that we'll continue to enhance the Classic version in parallel with the MacOS X version as long as the former doesn't hold up the latter. The longer answer: In general, we'll add features, such as new probes, drill-down, new web pages and InterMapper Remote capabilities, and other capabilities in a way that they just work in both versions. There will be cases where the additional effort isn't warranted. A specific example is in the modem paging in version 3.7. Current users of the classic version can use PageNOW. We've added paging into the MacOS X version, since PageNOW isn't available for OS X. So I do envision the Classic version will be enhanced for a long time. There will be points at which we choose not to make features available in the Classic version (such as modem paging). Long term, my recommendation is to keep your support subscription current: that way, you will always be entitled to switch over to the MacOS X version at the point it becomes compelling.
